Capo Milazzo’s Marine Protected Area was created in 2019. Around the northern tip of the wonderful rocky promontory, the dive sites display a huge biodiversity.
The coralligenous habitats are particulary amazing, with very abundant sea-fans, madreporas, and gold coral that encrust themselves in-between the irregular rocks. They create unique and colorful views as for instance in the dive sites Secca di Ponente and Carciofo.
Furthermore, despite the Marine Protected Area’s young age, the massive quantity of big fish such as barracudas, dentex, sea breams, and groupers rivals with that of much more renowned spots.
The seat of the Diving Center Blunauta, with whom we collaborate, is on top of a charming stilt house located in an enchanted and peaceful bay. The diving rubberboat being moored right in front makes the logistics tremendously easy!
